24 Hours That Change Students' Lives
35 students and 20 experts came together to create 4 fantastic development programs for high schools. We may not have slept much, but the results are definitely worth it!
When young energy combines with expert experience, great things can happen. In a department store where we spent 24 hours, 35 students and 20 professionals from various fields worked together to develop new educational programs for high schools. Although the sleeping bags were mostly unused, the enthusiasm of both students and experts was palpable at every moment.
Each team focused on a unique theme: "Life as an Orienteering Challenge," which teaches students to navigate everyday challenges; "Entrepreneurship," fostering creativity and entrepreneurial thinking; "YOUleader," shaping young leaders; and "Sustainability," motivating students to take a responsible approach to the environment. The students went through the entire process, from generating ideas to presenting in front of "investors" – and the results were incredible!
Not only did the students create fantastic programs, but they also decided to contribute to charitable initiatives. Each team chose its organization, resulting in a total of 30,000 CZK donated to support health clowns, pediatric oncology, environmental protection, and other projects. This not only strengthened their entrepreneurial spirit but also their sense of social responsibility.
The workshop was filled with creative work as well as inspiring contributions from experts. Hana Dux Blažková shared fascinating data about Generation Z, Pauline Louise Newman discussed parental perspectives, and Daniel Pratt introduced new ways to engage students in teaching. The highlight of the event was a panel discussion with psychotherapists who debated how to build mental resilience in young people. It was an event full of ideas, teamwork, and inspiration.
24 hours, plenty of creativity, and four new programs that will transform education – whether it's sustainability, entrepreneurship, or leadership.
